Those look absolutely terrible, but I think that they are works of art considering I had not iced a cake since I was in high school. There is a reason for that: I am deeply terrible at making food look pretty. My food is delicious, but never attractive.
They were tiny practice cakes for a baby shower. I discovered that icing a small cake is much, much, much more difficult than icing a large one. Shame, because these palm-sized cakes have serious adorable potential.
